2011 Basic Training Lacrosse Fall League 

  

 

Episcopal Academy finished an impressive fall campaign by taking the 2012 Pete Ortale Memorial trophy on the heels of a big quarterfinal win over Inter Ac rival Malvern, a thrilling 9-8 overtime win over St. Joe's Prep in the semi-finals and a convincing win over public school finalist Great Valley in the championship game. Congratulations to EA and all other 19 teams that participated in the BTL fall league.  Enjoy the holidays and good luck in the spring.  Hope to see you back next fall.

***2011 BTL Fall Lax Player /Coach Registration

Players may fill out a registration form on line. However each player must print out a Waiver/Release form, have a parent/guardian sign and turn in to your coach. Coaches will turn the signed form into a BTL staff member prior to the players first game. Players are not permitted to play without the signed Waiver/Release.

Coaches: Each Teams coach /coaches /responsible person must print out a coach registration form and turn in a signed form to a BTL game administrator. Each team must have a registered coach/responsible person at each game.

 

Hosted by Eastern University

Fall lacrosse action will return to Eastern University in Radnor PA.  Last season went extremely well using their 2 outstanding Nexturf fields.  Parking can be congested at game turnover times, we would ask that all BTL participants be respectful and cautious driving and parking.  We would also ask that the players try to remember to take care of their trash (water bottles and tape). 

 

Malvern Prep awarded the 3rd Annual  K. Ortale Trophy.

Pete was tragically taken on September 11th, 2001.  A warrior poet in the truest sense.  He was a 2 time High School All American midfielder who captained Penn Charter's 1983 state championship team.  He also was the captain of Duke University's lacrosse team when you could count on one hand the number of lacrosse players from PA playing Division 1 lacrosse.  He was the ultimate team player before there were travel teams and Inside Lacrosse recruit ranking lists.  He embodied what this league's mission seeks to reinforce; commitment to your high school team and teammates.
